The concept of Plug-Ins

We have envisioned that the PLOT story flow from Background through to Roadmap can be further amplified with the use of PLOT Plug-Ins.

Plug-Ins are additional digital modules of PLOT that leverage the PLOT data model and further extend the design in a specific area.

Plug-Ins are shown as buttons on the top line of the Canvas screen on the Top Right corner to the Left of the company logo

Our first Plug-in is the Goal Performance Scorecard that allows for the definition and monitoring of Key Performance Measures that are directly linked to the achievement of the strategic goals.

Goal Performance Scorecard

Drucker was famous for his saying that what gets measured, gets managed. Measurement is fundamental to all organisations and PLOT now has a Plug-In to help establish a scorecard to track key performance measures that are aligned with the Strategic Goals.

We envision the idea of a scorecard of measures with one or more measures linked to each goal. The measures should resonate with stakeholders.

The plug-in allows you to build and track your scorecard in three steps, accessed by selecting the appropriate button on the GPS home page

Set

Here we set the Key Performance Measures for each of the Goals with a target and how the measure is calculated.

Track

Tracking begins with the concept of capturing the actual performance measures for a specific time period, typically quarterly. Here the user enters the actual achieved values for each of the performance measures that were defined in the Set step. Firstly, create a scorecard with the time period and then the values for each of the performance measures.

Scorecards can be baselined such that they can no longer be edited.

Dashboard

With Dashboard we have a visual view of the Strategic Goals as tiles with the ability for you to drill into each tile to see the measures for that Goal and performance reported in the Scorecards.
